| Module content | The objectives of this course are: to explore and discuss the major approaches currently advocated in science education (e.g. constructivist learning) and as they pertain to the nature of the scientific fields; to explore and discuss some current restructuring proposals underway and the consequences of the above proposals for the classroom teacher; to develop a curriculum or curricular units, strategies for the implementation of the curriculum and evaluation strategies consistent with the goals of the new curriculum and evaluation strategies consistent with the goals of the new curriculum; to explore activities, computer software, computer interfaced laboratories, video recordings and integrated technological systems that will support the new curriculum. |
